Application start for the education and training programmes 2023

Dear dance friends and colleagues,
After an immensely successful festival summer 2022, we are already looking forward to connecting the international dance world and bringing everyone together again in Vienna in 2023, from 6 July to 6 August, in a series of special education and training programmes. In addition to ATLAS – create your dance trails and danceWEB, the continuing education programme ImPacT will once again be offered, which facilitates intensive exchange between students and experienced dance professionals. In addition, the DanceAbility Teacher training will take place for the ninth time, which is aimed specifically at teachers of integrative groups in the field of movement arts.

ATLAS (5 July – 9 August 2023) is a five-week training programme that offers young artists with first choreographic experience and mid-career artists a dynamic environment for their personal and artistic development. It aims to meet two key needs: to have a studio available for research and piece development, and to gain new input through individual workshop programmes, visits of international productions and exchanges with artists from 100 countries and within the group. Angélique Willkie, who has worked as a performer, singer and dramaturg with Alain Platel and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, among others, and who currently teaches contemporary dance at Concordia University in Montreal, will mentor the programme.

Application deadline: 15 February 2023
